What I wore for Christmas dinner with my brother &sister-in-law. Also, in the above picture I am apparently dancing. I think I was in mid-pose when the timer went off.
I remember thinking, “Oh, I’ll pull the scarf away so you can see more of the shirt!” It… didn’t really work. There wasn’t much to see anyway.
Rundown:
- Brown sweater: Christmas gift
- Cream cardigan: H&M
- Scarf: Charlotte Russe
- Skirt: H&M
- Boots: Vintage
- Tights: Off-brand
Yay for last outfit of 2009! It’s been hell, here’s hoping 2010 is better!!
Photomanip: he ate my heart

A relatively quick photomanip in honor of what Facebook claims is “To Write Lady Gaga on Your Arms Day.” I love me some Lady Gaga, so I decided to take part – unfortunately, I didn’t find out until about 8 this evening! So instead I took inspiration &made a quick shoop.
I got all 200 images from this photoshoot this week, so I’m going to be shopping a few up &posting them to my flickr, so anyone who’s curious can check it out
Also, did you notice? A variation on this (finally) became my custome header!

I may confuse some with this one. Let me just preface that this is NOT! LOLITA! I used some of my favorite lolita pieces, but the outfit itself is not lolita. KAY? KAY.
This outfit had a mission. That’s right, a MISSION. Said mission is, however, top secret, so I can’t tell you what it is. SUCK IT UP!
Rundown:
- Headbow: Angelic Pretty
- Hoodie: Thrifted
- Alice shirt: Spencer’s
- Skirt: AYA
- Tights: Off brand
- Heels: Charlotte Russe
Always looking for an excuse to wear these shoes! I bought them because they were cheap, not too uncomfortable, &hey, every girl needs a pair of 5-inch stilettos, just in case, but I haven’t had an excuse to wear them until tonight. Oh yes, I was on a MISSION.
Also apologies for that shitty little shoopage in the corner – my roommate’s stuff was in the frame &I didn’t wanna fuck with it, so I just shooped over it. Yay technology!!
So, did I accomplish my mission? Wouldn’t you like to know! Well, okay, so the truth is I have no idea. But I’m thinking yes.

11/9/09
It is November. Dear Universe, it is November. November means scarves and boots and long sleeves. September and October, when you were rainy and 40 degrees out? I would have appreciated this 70-degrere day then. November is supposed to be brisk &require cute borderline-winter fashion. I was actually too hot in this outfit today so I ended up switching to flats &going without the long sleeves. Also, in the above picture I appear to be channeling Napolean.

11/9/09 again
You may notice that my make-up looks completely different in the two pictures. That is because I photoshopped it in, and I am unashamed.
Rundown:
- Legs shirt &boots: Forever 21
- Skirt: Justice
- Leggings and long-sleeve shirt: Offbrand
I had nothing to do today, so I didn’t do anything. It was awesome. That’s a lie – I should have been doing homework and finishing my Philosophy paper, buuuut I didn’t. Oops. Anyone know what the Sophists had to say about goodness, happiness, and what constituted “the good life?”
Daily Outfit: 10/16/09?

10/16/09... maybe...
I don’t actually know what day this was, just that it was sometime near mid-October. I think it was actually earlier than this. Oops. Sorry for the delay, too- I totally forgot I had these pictures, &just found them on my camera earlier today.

10/16/09 - Full shot
I’m not sure who, how, or why, but someone covered almost every inch of pavement on campus with little chalk dots. I thought they looked like stars, especially on the black basketball court.
Rundown:
- Scarf, heart pochette: H&M
- Top(s) &boots: Offbrand
- Skirt: Justice (you know, that store that used to be called Limited Too)
- Brown tights: Claire’s
- Schoolbag: Mother Garden
I’m actually getting very excited for winter weather. Scarves, boots, gloves, hats… probably going to be the only thing keeping me sane once the cold weather sets in. I was actually sad today that it was GORGEOUS out &I couldn’t wear my stripey long-sleeved shirt and scarf – I must be losing my mind…

Also known as the date that wasn’t.

Daily Outfit 9/10/09
Yeah, so I cut my hair. Anyway, this is what I wore for what I thought was a date with a punky-gothy-”alt”-guy who defies modern labeling techniques. Just my type. In fact, he has a girlfriend; isn’t that always the way?
Rundown:
- Dress: H&M
- Blouse: Anna House Fashion
- Leggings: Mandee
- Hat: Forever21
- Sandals: Target
Went for a sort of futuristic film noir type look. The hat was a later addition as he picked it out for me at the mall. Before that I was wearing a huge red hair bow from Icing.
Also, a few weeks ago I bought this coat at a tag sale in Massachusetts for $2. Wore it that night for the first time.

Grey trenchcoat = instead private investigator
Isn’t that how it goes in these movies? My feet were numb by the end of the night. I woke up the next morning &they were still cold.
I don’t really look like myself in either of these pictures. Huh. The hat is really very adorable, I’ll need to get a better picture of it soon. It has big felt flowers on the side – very flapper-style!

Daily Outfit 8/13/09: Paranormal safari v.1&2

Sorry for the lack of detail – all you can’t see of the dress ending pretty short &my leggings, &the details of my sneakers.
Another outfit from SF. Worn to meet Victoria Suzanne &explore our haunter circa 1890′s hotel, &for a few paranormal run-ins (not the last of the trip).
Rundown:
- Shirtdress: Charlotte Russe
- Jacket: Charlotte Russe (shopping spree!!)
- Leggings: Forever21
- Sneakers: Reebok
Not that you can see, but my hair was in a topsy tail. Oh, my childhood!
Again with the grainy picture. .GIF, you’re dead to me. LUCKILY! I realized how to save as a .PNG (AKA, I… found it on the list. Go me) so the next outfit from this day (ridicu-loli because Vix dressed up) is much nicer quality.

haunted chair, ohboy!
Supposedly this Bishop’s Chair is original to the hotel from when it was a girl’s school, &supposedly it is haunted – people feel themselves being touched by disembodied hands. My experience was a bit different, but there are definitely some restless spirits in that hotel.
Rundown:
- Headbow: BABY, the Stars Shine Bright
- T-shirt: Charlotte Russe
- Skirt: Strawberry Cream by Mew
- Footless tights: Marshall’s, years ago, I think
- Sneakers: Reebok
This outfit would be called lolita-inspired – always seems like a cop-out to me, but since it’s definitely not true lolita (for many reasons, not least of all beign my sneakers!). I need to come up with a term for this style – pseudo-loli? Any ideas?

first a chair, now a stair!
Daily Outfit 8/11/09: Traveling Miss Princess

Why do I look so weird in all the San Francisco pictures? Well, besides the ridiculous faces I’m making. This is what I wore for the plane ride from Westchester County, NY to San Francisco.
Rundown:
- Dress: Goodnight Miss Princess (hence the title)
- Cardigan: Kohl’s years ago, modified by me
- Bow flats: Charlotte Russe
- Leggings: Forever21 (cotton leggings! $4.50!! I died!)
Weird pose is: that tree was huge! Oddly, we don’t have trees that big on the East Coast, or when we do, they aren’t in the middle of the city! I love how San Francisco looks like it was built around the Earth as opposed to the other way around.
The picture got all grainy when I saved it. PS7, WHY don’t you have .png capabilities?! Sigh.
